Planning Consultant for the Town of Mead
- Created Comprehensive Plan for the Town of Mead, Colorado which was formall adopted March 2018
- Acting Planning Director for two years
- Oversaw Comprehensive Plan update, managed consultant team on behalf of the Town of Mead
- Oversaw the development of sign code
- Grant writing
2018 Town of Mead Comprehensive Plan – Mead, CO
- Oversaw the successful grant application to the Department of Local Affairs (DOLA) that provided matching funds for a total project cost of $160,000
- Oversaw management of the project and team of consultants and staff on behalf of the Town
- Was responsible for the community outreach portion of the comprehensive plan update
- In addition to the standard format of topics included within a town comprehensive plan, added a Strategic Action Plan component for priority sub-areas for downtown, the I-25 Corridor and the East Side Neighborhood to ensure implementation
Arts and Entertainment District Strategic Action Plan
Downtown Development Authority – Longmont, CO
- Co-created 2011 Strategic Action Plan for the Longmont Arts and Entertainment District, resulting in the designation of Downtown Longmont as one of Colorado’s first Creative Districts
- Oversaw the community outreach process and the development of the strategic action plan matrix, which was the foundation for the implementation strategies for development of the Longmont Arts and Entertainment District
- The Strategic Action Plan and subsequent implementation strategies were instrumental in the ultimate designation of Downtown Longmont by the state of Colorado as one of Colorado’s first Creative Districts
- Facilitated scoping and visioning sessions
- Oversaw development of the Strategic Action Plan, which resulted in the successful implementation of the plan and a thriving downtown district
- Creation of the Arts & Entertainment District facilitated the designation of Downtown Longmont by the state of Colorado as a Creative District (mixed-use, arts and entertainment, walkable communities)
